Maruti Baleno based Toyota Glanza revealed in new pictures

Toyota Glanza is the first product to come out of the Suzuki-Toyota partnership. Earlier, we've shown you how the upcoming Toyota Glanza will look on the outside. The only difference we spot on the outside is the equipment of a new grille and Toyota badging. Now we’ve surfaced some more images which reveal the interior of the upcoming Toyota hatchback.

The new pictures uploaded by MotorOctane, fully reveals the interior of the upcoming Toyota Glanza. The interior of the Glanza looks very much similar to the Maruti Baleno. The centre console gets the same touchscreen infotainment system which comes equipped in the Baleno. We are not sure if it uses the same SmartPlay UI like the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. Moreover, the only change we may get in the infotainment system is the replacement of Maruti logo with the Toyota logo. The hatchback also gets the Toyota logo on the steering wheel. These are the only changes which will make the Maruti Baleno different from the Toyota Glanza. The hatch still gets twin-pod instrument cluster along with a TFT digital display in the middle.

The upcoming Toyota Glanza looks very much identical to the Maruti Baleno on the outside and on the inside. The engine details of the Glanza are not confirmed. But we can expect that the hatchback will derive power from a BS-VI compliant 1.2-litre DualJet VVT engine which will churn out respective power and torque outputs of 90 Bhp and 120 Nm. The transmission duties will be done by a 5-speed manual transmission. This is the same engine which has recently introduced by Maruti for the Baleno. This engine also gets the SHVS mild hybrid system, which is expected to power the Glanza too. So, we can expect the Toyota Glanza to be highly fuel-efficient. Toyota will offer the car in two trims and, both of them will be top of the line variants which comes loaded with features. The spy images also reveal the key of the Glanza which gets the Toyota logo. Moreover, the Toyota Glanza will demand a bit premium over the Maruti Baleno.
