Almost all the customers of the 2020 Hyundai i20 have chosen the mid-spec Sportz and top-end Asta variants which are packed with a wide array of features.
The new Hyundai i20 was launched several weeks ago prior to its deliveries which are expected to be implemented soon. The hatchback has recorded over 20,000 bookings within 20 days of its launch, which means that one new i20 is booked each minute.
According to the most recent company’s reports, up to 85% of the customers have chosen the Sportz and Asta variants of the 2020 Hyundai i20. The entry-level trim is Magna; the mid-spec one is the Sportz; the high-spec ones are the Asta and Asta (O). Although the high-spec variants are priced more highly than expected, they still attract numerous customers. Refer to the table below for a detailed price list of the Hyundai i20.
1.2 Litre MT
1.2 Litre IVT

The Sportz variants are priced from INR 7.59 lakh to INR 8.99 lakh. The Asta ones cost between INR 8.69 lakh to INR 10.66 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). Disappointingly, the Hyundai i20 Asta is not offered with a diesel motor option; the Sportz is not available with the turbo-DCT combination.
The Hyundai i20 is equipped with a wide array of top-notch features which include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system which supports wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity, a fully-digital 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, a fully automatic air conditioning system, sporty aluminium pedals and rear parking camera. Nevertheless, the top-end variants of the Hyundai i20 lack the automatic headlights, alloy rims, autocruise, electric sunroof and six airbags.
The 2020 Hyundai i20 receives its power from three motor options: a 1.2-litre NA 4-cyl gasoline burner, a 1.5-litre oil unit and a 1.0-litre 3-cyl turbo petrol motor. Apart from the second unit, the two other motors are mated with an optional automatic transmission. The Hyundai i20 is the first hatchback in India to be offered with an iMT unit.
