The next-gen MU-X SUV, which is already on sale in the international market, will be introduced to the Indian auto market by Isuzu on October 16 2018. Generally, Isuzu will make some decorative tweaks but almost no changes to the mechanics to the new vehicle.

1. 2018 Isuzu MU-X Exterior

The new-gen MU-X will receive projector headlamps with LED DRLs, slightly-redesigned bumpers and a novel bold grille. Other outstanding features include tail-lamps with LED components inside, updated alloy wheels, refreshed bumper at the rear.

The general design and appearance of the vehicle will remain almost the same as before.

2. 2018 Isuzu MU-X Interior

However, do not let the almost-unchanged appearance of the MU-X SUV fool you since the cabin may be considerably upgraded. It is expected to be equipped with a brand-new dashboard with a mixture of two colour tones (black and beige) instead of the only black tone of the outgoing model. It will also sport artificial wood trim and silver components on the central console and the driving wheel to make the cabin more appealing.

Other features will be added to the Isuzu MU-X to make it more attractive, such as

  • Leather upholstery

  • Keyless entry

  • Parking sensors

  • Auto cruise

The MU-X will leave the customers with no worry about safety because it will be packed with a kit of safety features including:

  • Twin airbags

  • Electronic brakeforce limitation

  • Brake assist

  • Hill Start Assist

  • Dynamic stability control

  • Traction control system

3. 2018 Isuzu MU-X Engine

The new-gen Isuzu MU-X will be powered by the same engine as the older version, a 3.0-litre diesel motor, which can deliver 177hp at 3600rpm and 380Nm of torque in the range of 1800rpm-2800rpm. This power will be sent to the four wheels through a 5-speed automatic gearbox.
