Honda Amaze sales cross the 30,000-unit milestone within 3 months

The 2018 Honda Amaze has become the flagship which is the fastest-selling car for Honda in India with over 30,000 sales recorded within 3 months since the first launch.

Honda Car India Limited’s (HCIL) has achieved a new milestone with Amaze. The automaker has recently rolled out 30,000th 2018 Honda Amaze. This makes the number of 30,000 sales in merely 3 months which is a great record for the Japanese brand. Honda has been selling about 5,500 units every month since the launch and marked over 20,000 units sales at the end of July. It drives the new Amaze to be the fastest-selling new car launched by Honda in the country since the Japanese automaker tap the Indian market two decades ago. Thereby, Honda has registered a general cumulative sales growth of 12.5 percent from April to July 2018.

Speaking about this taste of success of the 2018 Honda Amaze, Makoto Hyoda, the Director, Sales and Marketing, Honda Cars India Ltd said, 

“Built on an all-new platform, the new Amaze has been developed as a proper sedan from ground-up which helps it stand apart from the rest. The customers have really appreciated this aspect and accepted the car very well. We are thankful to our customers for this response which has made the all-new Amaze the most successful launch in HCIL’s history.”

Additionally, Jnaneswar Sen, senior vice-president, marketing and sales, Honda Cars India Ltd, said.

"We are ecstatic with the overwhelming response received for Amaze since the launch and are delighted having delivered 30,000 Honda Amaze to our customers. Aggressive localization of more than 90 per cent in Honda Amaze has helped us price the Amaze competitively."

2018 Honda Amaze has been priced around Rs 5.81-9.11 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The sedan is available with both of petrol and diesel engine options. In which, diesel CVT variants and the petrol automatic is said to account for more than 30 per cent of its cumulative sales, according to Honda.

In spite of gaining this achievement, 2018 Honda Amaze still have to be in the competition with the fierce rival Maruti Dzire which is the king of the mid-size sedan segment with 25,647 sales units in July.
