Apparently, although the Indian largest automaker will commit to the production of EVs in India, the 2019 Maruti Wagon R, which has been launched in two motor options, a 1.0L and 1.2L petrol engine has not been confirmed to be powered by an additional electric engine. The automaker has even confirmed its plan to give a higher level of localization to the components required for models electrification.
