2019 Maruti Suzuki WagonR Official Images Released

After a long waiting period, the official images of 2019 Maruti Suzuki WagonR has finally come under the light that shows many interior and exterior designing details of the hatchback. Coming as a “true tall boy” in the Indian market, the new-gen Maruti Suzuki WagonR claims to be bigger to add more confidence along every trip. The robust design language of the new WagonR draws a wide range of public attention from the Indian gearheads. The WagonR is promised to stand out from the crowd with the squared-out front end in the front fascia, fresh new headlamps, redesigned chrome-garnished grille, vertically-oriented taillights and updated fog lamps.

The overall dimensions are extended to the increments of 19 mm in length, 145 mm in width, 5 mm in height along with a 35 mm in the wheelbase. The alloy wheels do not make a presence in the 2019 Maruti Suzuki WagonR, but some exemplary features are also mounted on the new model to enhance the car’s premium spirit such as a new pair of electrically adjustable mirrors, manual air-conditioning system, power windows and rear parking camera as standard.

Slated to be developed on the Strong Heartect Platform which also underpins the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Baleno, Dzire and the Ertiga as well. The all-new Maruti Suzuki WagonR holds a lighter overall curb weight to offer the utmost impact absorbing structure for the top-notch quality of safety and stability. Besides, there will be a handful of safety features like anti-lock braking system (ABS), electric brake-force distribution (EBD), driver’s seatbelt reminder, speed alert, and passenger airbag as an option.

Maruti Suzuki has eliminated all rumours about a cheap WagonR's structure

The upcoming tall-boy hatchback is announced to retain the same 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine that churns out the maximum power of 68 hp and the peak torque of 90 Nm units. However, a new 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder gasoline engine which generates 83 hp per 113 Nm of torque is scheduled to come as well. Both the motors will come mated to a 5-step manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission.

The most-awaited vehicle will be available to the Indian enthusiasts with seven variants comprising the 1.0L LXi, 1.0L VXi, 1.0L VXi AGS, 1.2L VXi, 1.2L VXi AGS, 1.2L ZXi and 1.2L ZXi AGS. Maruti Suzuki has already kicked off the pre-bookings for the all-new WagonR in the Indian auto space with a token amount of Rs 11,000. The car will be sold across Maruti Suzuki Arena dealerships with the expected price of Rs 4.5 Lakh to Rs 5.5 Lakh (ex-showroom) to take on the likes of Hyundai Santro, Datsun Go and Tata Tiago which are currently the fastest runners in the competition.
