2019 Maruti Wagon R Launched In India At Rs 4.19 Lakh

The new-gen Maruti Wagon R sports a more stylish look and measures greater in length, width and height than the outgoing model. Specifically, the 2019 Wagon R is 3,665 mm long, 1,620 mm wide and 1,675 mm high with a 2,435 mm wheelbase. It features square 'dual-split' headlamps and a rectangular grille in the front; black B-pillars, ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, a floating roof with a black area on the C-pillar on the side profile; and high taillights which remind us of the newest-gen Ertiga in the rear.

Entering the cabin, you can realise a two-tone interior paint scheme. The top-of-the-line ZXI variant is equipped with an impressive list of cutting-edge features including

The new Wagon R is available in two motor options. While the K10B 1.0L 3-cylinder petrol engine can deliver 67.98 PS at 5,500 rpm and 90 Nm at 3,500 rpm, the K12M 1.2L 4-cylinder petrol motor borrowed from the Ignis, which, for the first time, powers the Wagon R, is good for 82.94 PS at 6,000 rpm against 113 Nm at 4,200 rpm. Transmission duties are undertaken by a 5-speed MT and a 5-speed AMT for both of the motors. The ARAI-rated mileage figures of the two engine are 22.5 km/l and 21.5 km/l, respectively.

Since its launch in 1999, the Wagon R has witnessed great success with more than 2.2 million customers. The tallboy hatchback has got over 20% market share. In India, the new Wagon R directly competes against the Tata Tiago and the new Hyundai Santro.
