2020 Hyundai Tucson Facelift Launched - FULL DETAILS

Hyundai Tucson facelift has been launched at a starting price of rs. 22.30 lakh. Also, the car has started reaching the dealerships already, therefore, expect the deliveries to begin by this week itself.

Hyundai has launched the 2020 Tucson in the Indian market today at the starting price of Rs.22.30 lakh. The facelifted Tucson will retail in a total of 2 variants - GL(O) and GLS. With this mid-life update, the Tucson now gets a set of BS-6 compliant engines – 2.0L petrol and 2.0L diesel. The former of the two will put out a peak power output of 152 PS and max torque of 192 Nm. The oil-burner, on the other hand, develops 185 PS of peak power and 400 Nm of peak torque. The transmission options on these engines include a 6-speed MT for the manual variants. However, the automatic variants get a 6-speed AT with the petrol motor and 8-speed AT with the oil burner. Also, an AWD system is available on the Tucson on the top-spec diesel variant.

2020 Hyundai Tucson launched

In terms of design, the 2020 Tucson has been fairly updated with a dose of freshness. On the front, it now gets a redesigned cascading grille, which is massive in terms of its proportions. It is now flanked by a set of sharply-designed LED headlamps on either side. They now get 5 illuminating elements and a boomerang-shaped LED DRLs like the Verna facelift. The front bumper is tweaked as well to house the new fog lamps.

The side profile of the 2020 Tucson has not changed much, as the only change it gets is the new design for the 18-inch alloy wheels. On the rear, it gets new LED tail lamps, redesigned tailgate, re-positioned reflectors, and a resculpted bumper. All of these changes make the 2020 Tucson’s exterior look fresh and modern.

On the inside, the changes are in plenty. The top half of the dashboard is new and now gets a fully-floating 8-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment unit. It comes with Hyundai’s BlueLink tech and also supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Talking of other features, the 2020 Tucson gets tyre pressure monitoring system, 8-way power-adjustable seats, panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, Infinity sound system and more. In terms of safety equipment, it comes loaded with 6 airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, brake assist, hill descent control, and vehicle stability management.
