Here's how the upcoming 2021 Tata Safari looks like in the Army uniform. Take a look at it here and decide if it's cooler than the last-gen model's GS800 avatar or not.

By now, almost everyone knows that Tata Motors is planning to launch the 2021 Tata Safari in the Indian market. In case you don’t, you must be living under a rock or away from the internet. While the upcoming Tata Safari has managed to create a lot of buzz for itself with just a couple of pictures released, it will go on sale in the Indian market on January 26. The 2021 Safari is essentially a longer and taller version of the Tata Harrier with an extra row of seats. It was showcased to masses at the 2020 Auto Expo as Gravitas. But, will it be replacing the last-gen model’s GS800 rendition that is used by the armed forces of the country? Well, we do not know that yet. Although, what we do know is how it will look like as an Army-spec vehicle.

Army-Spec 2021 Tata Safari Rendered, Potent Replacement for GS800?

In the above image, you can see a rendering is of the 2021 Safari’s army-spec iteration, and it is created by our in-house rendering expert – Shoeb R. Kalania. The army-spec Tata Safari dons a shade of Foilage Green paint job as seen on the older Safari GS800. Also, it gets added protection for all the glass panes, like the front & rear windshields and the side windows.

For improved illumination in the dark, it has been fitted with a set of auxiliary lamps right on top of the front windscreen. Moreover, a set of antennas can be seen on the rear fender, while a single unit is fixed on the front fender. Since army vehicles generally have a flag post, the designer has fixed one on the hood.

The 2021 Safari will come with 17-inch alloy wheels, which are replaced here with a set of steelies, as they can bear a lot more abuse. In this image, the army-spec Tata Safari looks wonderful, and we are sure that it will look even more impressive in flesh. However, the new-gen Safari will come with an FWD layout. Hence, we will have to wait and see if Tata Motors offers it with an AWD layout at a later stage. But, armed forces can use it as a comfy-utility vehicle in the urban environment till then.
