With slight ease in the lockout, Maruti Dzire facelift has started reaching the dealerships. Here's the LXI variant of the car that was caught in the lens, recently.
Maruti Suzuki recently introduced the Dzire facelift in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs. 5.89 lakhs. The car was introduced amidst the nationwide lockout, therefore, it was not been spotted in flesh till date. Since the lockout has been eased-off and dealerships can operate in accordance with the SoPs provided by the authorities, cars have started reaching the dealerships. Thus, an LXI variant of the Dzire facelift was spotted at a dealership yard.
It can be seen that not much has been changed on the car with the facelift. On the front, it now gets a tweaked bumper with new radiator grille and foglamp housings. However, this one misses out on foglamps as Maruti doesn’t offer them in the LXI trim. Also, it gets multi-reflector type headlamps with standard halogen bulbs as against the projector headlamp units seen on the top-spec variants.
On the sides, the only the change that Dzire gets with the facelift is a new design for the alloy wheels. Being an entry-level variant, this unit comes fitted with steel wheels. Also, it misses out on the wheel caps, which are offered on the VXI trim. The body-coloured door handles and ORVMs seen on the higher trims are replaced with black-coloured units on the LXI variant. The rear facet, although, looks identical to higher-spec versions of the car.
Maruti Dzire Facelift looks fresher with the new grille, which looks better than the older one.
In terms of features, the LXI variant comes equipped with front two power windows, power steering, manual AC, dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, front seat belt reminders, high-speed alerts, and rear parking sensors. The top-spec trim is, on the other hand, comes loaded to the gills. It offers the convenience of automatic climate control, all-4 power windows, tilt adjust for the steering column, cruise control, steering mounted audio controls, hill-hold assist, rear parking camera, SmartPlay Studio infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, and more.
The base-spec LXI variant of the Dzire is priced at Rs. 5.89 lakhs.
The Dzire facelift gets a powerful version of the older 1.2L 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated motor. It is the DualJet K12N motor and produces 7 PS more power than the pre-facelift version of the car. The power figure now totals at 90 PS, while the torque figure is identical to the older mill at 113 Nm. The motor is offered in the same state of tune across all the trim levels. The transmission duties are performed by a 5-speed MT, while the higher variants get the option of a 5-speed AMT as well.
