While most of the markets get a diesel for the Ford Endeavour only, China receives the Endeavour with a petrol engine option.

Ford Motor has just launched the Endeavour (Everest) with a 2.3-litre petrol engine option for the Chinese market. The new Ford Endeavour 2.3 Petrol gets the price starting from CNY 2,85,800 (approx. Rs 30.44 Lakh). While most of the markets get a diesel for the Endeavour only, the Chinese market comes as an exception as it gets both diesel and petrol engine options.

Previously, the Ford Endeavour came with a 2.0-litre EcoBoost turbo-petrol engine that has been replaced by a bigger 2.3-litre EcoBoost 4-cylinder turbo-petrol unit. The latest 2.3-litre petrol mill can churn out 275 PS of max power at 5,500 rpm along with 455 Nm of torque delivered at 2.500 rpm. It comes coupled with a standard 10-speed automatic transmission and gets an optional four-wheel-drive system. It remains to see if the new Ford Endeavour 2.3 Petrol can make it to India since the SUV has been recently upgraded with a BS6-compliant 2.0-litre unit.
