The Toyota Innova Crysta-rivalling Kia Carnival is being offered with various discounts this festive season which can shave off up to Rs 1.56 lakh from the sticker price of the premium MPV
Launched earlier this year at the Auto Expo 2020, Kia Carnival is the second product provided by Kia in the Indian market. The premium MPV is currently the flagship model in Kia’s line-up in our market. As the festive season is getting close, the South Korean car manufacturer has decided to offer massive discounts for the Kia Carnival.
This festive season, Kia is offering some attractive benefits for buyers of the Kia Carnival, which can add up to Rs 1.56 lakh. These benefits include a 3-year/unlimited km maintenance package (Rs 48,000) and a rear-seat entertainment package (Rs 28,800). In addition, Kia also provides an exchange bonus of Rs 80,000 for the Kia Carnival.
The entertainment package for the rear row is currently available on the top-spec Limousine trim, which means that this additional option is offered for the base and mid-range variants only. It also means that buyers of the top-of-the-line variant only get maintenance package and exchange bonus with the total savings of up to Rs 1.28 lakh.
Positioned as a premium MPV, Kia Carnival is provided with upmarket features like LED projector headlights, LED fog lights, LED taillights, electric sliding rear doors, power-folding ORVMs, and power tailgate. As for the interior, the flagship MPV is equipped with 10-way power-adjustable ventilated drive seat, dual-panel sunroof, trial-zone climate control, wireless charger as well as UVO connectivity system.
Under the hood, the Kia Carnival is powered by a 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel engine which puts out a top power of 202 BHp and a maximum torque of 440 Nm. This single-engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Kia Carnival is currently offered with three configuration options, 7-seater, 8-seater and 9-seater. Kia’s premium MPV is sold at the starting price of Rs 29.95 lakh. The top-spec model can cost up to Rs 33.95 lakh (ex-showroom). At this price range, Kia Carnival sits above the Toyota Innova Crysta and below Toyota Vellfire and Mercedes Benz V-Class.
