Mahindra Marazzo MPV to make its debut on September 3

The new Mahindra Marazzo which offered in seven- and eight-seater layout will be launched on September 3.

Being known as the U321, Mahindra's upcoming MPV has its official name – Marazzo, meaning the “shark” in the Basque language. The all-new Mahindra Marazzo MPV has finally revealed the launching date in Indian market which is on September 3, 2018. 

Being the flagship of Mahindra, the new Mahindra Marazzo will be the rival of Toyota Innova Crysta and the Tata Hexa in India. This new MPV will offer both 7- and 8-seater formats which are set to be the largest footprint of all Mahindra passenger vehicles.

The all-new Mahindra Marazzo MPV has finally revealed the launching date in Indian market which is on September 3, 2018

The Mahindra North American Technical centre and the Mahindra Research Valley in Chennai have jointly engineered to produce the new Marazzo MPV. It has been co-designed by Pininfarina and Mahindra’s Kandivali design studio, in Mumbai. This is the first time Mahindra’s two research arms collaborated together on a passenger vehicle project. 

As for the exterior, Ananthan Ramkripa, Chief Designer at Mahindra, claimed that the design of the Marazzo is influenced by a shark, with several elements – inside and out – styled to mimic certain aspects of a shark. The T-shaped console is quite conventional in terms of design with the dual tone finish which is the combination of black and beige. A touchscreen infotainment screen is possibly a 7.0-inch unit which comes with features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

As regard of the interior, while the eight-seater Marazzo gets a bench seat, the seven-seat variant will get the captain seats for the second row. As for the touchscreen infotainment screen, it is possibly a 7.0-inch unit which comes with features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. 

An all-new 1.5-litre diesel engine will also be delivered for the Marazzo. The Marazzo will debut Mahindra’s new 1.5-litre diesel engine, likely to produce around 121hp and 300Nm. All versions of the Marazzo will come with standard features such as ABS, EBD, rear parking sensors, airbags.

The upcoming Mahindra MPV could have the introductory price at around Rs 10 Lakhs and go all the way up to Rs 15 Lakhs, positioning it between the Maruti Ertiga and the Toyota Innova Crysta.
