The busiest segment in the Indian automotive industry is the sub-4m compact-SUV space. With a lot of participants fighting for their share of the pie, Nissan Magnite will soon join this race. Today, the Japanese carmaker has unveiled the production-spec version of the Magnite. Interestingly, it looks a lot like its concept avatar, which was unveiled digitally in July this year. Nissan has thoughtfully made changes to the exterior so that it complies with all the norms without much of a change in terms of its looks.

On the front, it gets the Datsun-like grille, which looks meaner than Nissan’s V-Motion grille. The headlamps are sleek units and come fitted with twin LED-projector setup. The L-shaped LED DRLs are mounted on the lower part of the bumper along with the LED fog lamps. The bonnet gets sharp creases, thus lending the Magnite with an angry face. From the sides too, Magnite looks appealing. Since it is designed as a sub-4m compact-SUV from the ground up, it gets a proportionate silhouette. The rakish A and C pillar make it look a little like the Kicks.

The wheel arches of the Nissan Magnite are pronounced and are filled with 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The rear facet of the Magnite is clean. The tail lamps are stylish, but do the job with halogen bulbs. The dual-tone finish for the bumper looks nice as well. The Magnite gets a dark theme for the interior, but it is loaded with features. The list includes an 8-inch touchscreen for the infotainment unit, 7-inch TFT LCD for the instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, automatic climate control, cruise control, steering mounted audio controls, puddle lamps, wireless phone charging puddle lamps and more.
