Here, we shall compare the discounts available during May 2020 for the Maruti Suzuki Ignis and Hyundai Grand i10 (previous-generation model)

Maruti Suzuki Ignis was recently refreshed with a minor facelift earlier this year. After the update, Maruti recorded a brief jump in the car’s sales, which were helped further by some brilliant discounts and schemes. As for Hyundai, the company had introduced the Grand i10 Nios last year. Even after the introduction of the Nios, which is the new generation i10, the older generation model still remains on sale. If you’re wondering which of the two, Ignis or Grand i10, is offering better deals, then you’ve come to the right place!

Maruti Suzuki is currently offering a cash discount worth Rs. 20,000 on the purchase of a new Ignis. Other than that, you can also avail an exchange bonus worth Rs. 15,000, thus bringing the total value of incentives up to Rs. 35,000. Hyundai one-ups the game by offering a cash discount worth Rs. 25,000, five grand more than the Ignis. The exchange bonus, however, is identical at Rs. 15,000. Buyers must remember that the exchange bonus is added on top of the value of the car brought in for exchange. It should also be noted that Maruti Ignis has a wider price range, between Rs. 4.89 lakh to 7.19 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), as opposed to the Grand i10 (which only has two trims on offer, Magna and Sportz).
