Renault Duster with the turbo-petrol heart will most likely be making its way to the showroom floors by the end of next month. Here's all that you should expect on the updated Duster along with the new powerful engine.
Earlier this year, Renault showcased the turbo petrol version of the Renault Duster at the Auto Expo 2020. The Duster with this new powertrain is expected to go on sale by the end of August, this year. That being said, the French car manufacturer has not confirmed the exact launch date of the car yet.

Apparently, the most notable updates on the Renault Duster is the new 1.3-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which can be had mated to either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a CVT. The same powertrain options are also offered on the Nissan Kicks. This engine is capable of making peak power figures of 156 PS and 250 Nm of max torque.
Along with this new engine, the old 1.5-litre petrol motor will continue to power the Renault Duster. Besides the addition of the new engine, the Duster will also get some minor styling updates. Renault Duster with the turbocharged engine will differentiate itself from the non-turbocharged version with red accents in place and with slightly different fog light housings. Just like the version showcased at the Auto Expo, the new Duster will get a red logo, thicker roof rails and less cladding on the rear end. This version will be available with some standard exterior features including projector headlights, roof rails and more.

On the inside, the turbocharged version of the Renault Duster will get a host of new updates, which will enhance the sporty styling of the compact SUV. Red accents will be used across the places inside the cabin to emphasize the dynamic appeal. Moreover, the Renault Duster turbocharged petrol is likely to get a new upholstery for the interior. In terms of the safety, the Renault Duster turbocharged petrol will be equipped with some standard features including dual airbags, ABS with EBD, speed alert, rear parking sensors, and seat belt reminders.
For the higher variants, the feature pack will be upgraded with equipment like automatic climate control, height-adjustable driver seat, a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple Carplay and Android Auto compatibility. It also offers better assistance for drivers with features like hill start assist, cruise controls, electronic stability program, and a reverse parking camera. It appears that Renault will only offer the turbocharged petrol engine on the mid-range or the top-spec variants. The price for the Renault Duster turbocharge petrol is expected to cost no less than Rs. 12 lakh. Once launched, it will fight against the likes of Nissan Kicks, and turbo-petrol trims of Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta.
