Rs 2 Crore will be Donated for 2018 Kerala Flood Relief by Bajai Auto

It has been announced that Rs 2 crore has been donated for the Kerala flood relief by Bajai Auto.

Of this total amount, Rs 1 crore will be directly supplied to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund whereas the other Rs 1 crore will be spent by Jankidevi Bajaj Gram Vikas Sanstha (JBGVS) on survival kits. JBGVS often represents Bajaj Auto to implement many Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives of the automaker. Thanks to this amount of money, Bajai Auto intends to provide basic startup kits for no fewer than 1000 families. The floods have had devastating effects; countless people have been made homeless; many have even died; financial loss has been increasing each day. At this time, the support comes as a miracle for this pitiful state.

In the stage one of the emergency relief work, flood-affected families will be supplied with Humanitarian Aid Kits including necessary items such as Tarp Sheets, Nylon Ropes, water filter, soaps, towels, plastic sleeping mats, blankets, and Kitchen set with basic items, etc. All of these things will be distributed to flood-affected families by NGOs specializing in Relief and Rehabilitation and Bajaj Auto commercial vehicle dealerships.

Supports have been provided for Kerala state in the devastating floods by many auto companies

President (Intra-city Business), Bajaj Auto, said:

The state of Kerala has seen unforeseen disaster and damage to property and infrastructure worth crores of rupees. We feel the grief and pain of our fellow countrymen in the state and they need our help at this critical hour to come out of this tragedy and to rebuild their lives. We at Bajaj Auto are extending our support through our dealerships in the state to aid the relief operations and to bring some respite to the victims of this unforeseen natural calamity.

In the efforts to help this Southern states soon recover from the floods, other companies have also provided support both in the form of financial support and special services. For example, TVS Motor Company and Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) have donated Rs 1 crore each to the state Chief Minister relief fund. Nissan India, BMW and Tata Motors have also supplied special services to customers.
