Upcoming 2020 Force Gurkha To Launch Soon With 2.6L Mill

The 2020 Force Gurkha is expected to launch in our market in the coming months. The new off-roader was first showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo 2020.

Force Motors showcased the BS6-compliant 2020 Gurkha at the Auto Expo early this year. The upcoming 2020 model is updated with new looks and features on outside and inside. Recent reports suggest that the SUV in its final stages of development, and the automaker will soon initiate its production. The new Force Gurkha is expected to hit the Indian shores by the upcoming festive season. Now talking about the changes, the 2020 Gurka will feature a revised front fascia. It now employs a redesigned bumper with rectangular air dam and restyled fog lamp housing. Illumination duties will be done by a revised headlamp cluster along with integrated LED DRLs and bi-LED set-up.

The side profile of the SUV gets horizontal slats on the fenders for better ventilation. Like the previous model, the new Force Gurkha will feature a snorkel. The major change on the side is the addition of a new rear window. The off-roader will not sport a big single glass pane for the rear window as compared to the dual-pane window and a rear quarter glass offered with the outgoing model. Moreover, the rear profile of the car gets a revised windshield. The tailgate-mounted spare wheel has repositioned towards the centre and the bumper-mounted taillights are now move towards the body shell of the SUV. Inside, the new 2020 Force Gurkha will be updated with a redesigned dashboard.

The updated off-roader will be powered by a 2.6-litre and 2.2-litre diesel engine

The cabin will now come finished in the dual-tone scheme and will also come to feature a new touchscreen infotainment system. The new 2020 Force Gurkha will continue to be powered by a 2.6-litre, four-pot turbocharged oil burner, which develops 90 PS of power and 280 Nm of peak torque. The newly introduced 2.2-litre diesel motor is also expected to be offered as an optional fitment. Once launched, the new Force Gurkha will rub shoulders with the likes of next-gen Mahindra Thar. Recently, the off-roader was updated with a solid axle up front, while the new model displayed at the Expo 2020 featured IFS.
