Upcoming Hyundai i20 N To Generate Upto 200 Bhp

Earlier this year, Hyundai revealed the third-gen model of the i20 hatchback. With the new-gen version, Hyundai i20 appears to be sportier than ever before. The new design of the Hyundai i20 is in line with Hyundai’s current design language which has been applied in the last two years. In the following months, the new-gen Hyundai Elite i20 will be even introduced in the Indian market.

Hyundai i20 will be the next model to get a performance N Line variant 

Along with the regular Hyundai i20, the South Korean car manufacturer is planning to launch the performance-focused version of the i20 which is also known as the i20 N Line. N Line is the special vehicle line that includes tweaked versions of the regular Hyundai cars. The N Line is dedicated to performance-oriented models only. Fortunately, this idea has been wholeheartedly welcomed by car enthusiasts. After the Veloster and i30, the i20 will be the next car to get N version of its own.

The N model of the Hyundai i20 has been spotted a couple of times around the Nurburgring. From these encounters with the i20 N, it is revealed that the car will feature a load and hoarse exhaust system.

As per the report, the Hyundai i20 N will be powered by a 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which is capable of unleashing a top power of 200 Nm. The transmission duty will be carried out by a six-speed manual gearbox. Before making its debut, Hyundai is rigorously testing the new i20 N on the Nurburgring loop.

Apparently, the new N Line variant will receive mechanical upgrades which will help to improve the performance of the car. For example, the i20 N is likely to get aggressive engine mapping and tuned ECU along with limited-slip differential which is supposed to enhance the corning ability and optimizing traction. In addition, the suspension will be adjusted to get stiffer. Updates like multiple driving modes and balanced chassis are expected to be offered on the upcoming performance-focused version.

Hyundai i20 N will be upgraded cosmetically and mechanically 

Apart from the comprehensive mechanical upgrades, the new Hyundai i20 N will also look essentially different from the regular version. For the exterior, the i20 N will get a restyled bumper with more dominant air inlets, rear diffuser, a large rear spoiler as well as a new body kit. On the inside, the i20 N will receive some sporty highlights like contrasting stitching, different accent, aluminium pedals, and sportier seats. In terms of the comfort and convenience features, the N Line variant of the Hyundai i20 will share the feature package with the top-spec i20. When launched, the Hyundai i20 N will rival against the likes of Volkswagen GTI and Ford Fiesta ST.
