This Blacked-out Kia Sonet Looks Like a True-blue Mafia Car

A few months back, the Korean automaker Kia launched its first-ever sub-4 meter SUV in the Indian market. In its segment, it rivals with the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra XUV300. The Kia SUV is doing quite well in terms of overall sales. People around the country have also started customizing it as per their preference to make it look more striking. Here’s one such modified Kia Sonet, which features aftermarket alloy wheels and all-black theme.

The regular model of the SUV gets smart-looking 16-inch alloy wheels. The Kia SUV you see here employs aftermarket multi-spoke 16-inch rims. These rims look sporty and have enhanced the aggressive look of the SUV. Moreover, the front brake callipers of the SUV are painted in red colour shade. The customizer has also blacked-out the chrome inserts employed on the exterior of the SUV such as front grille, roof rails and lower part of the bumper. After this modification, Kia Sonet looks much more premium and elegant than the regular variant of the SUV. Other than this no customizations have been done on the car. The overall cost of these modifications is not known, but it doesn’t seem to be that expensive. Last month, the automaker managed to retail 11,417 units of the car.

It has now become the top-selling sub-4-meter SUV in the Indian market. Inside, the SUV comes loaded with features like a massive 10.25-inch HD touchscreen with navigation and live traffic, Bose premium seven-speaker sound system with sub-woofer, air purifier with virus and bacteria protection, and front ventilated driver and passenger seats. In terms of dimensions, the Kia SUV is 3995 mm long, 1790 mm wide, 1647 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2500 mm. It derives power from three different engine options- 1.2-litre petrol, 1.5-diesel, and 1.0-litre turbo petrol mill. It is retailed at a starting price of Rs 6.72 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Kia Sonet is the second most affordable SUV in its segment.
