Mercedes-Benz is highly loved around the globe for the luxury cars they make. However, the brand also makes some of the most fun-to-drive roadsters in the world. In the early 2000s, the NFS era gave the enthusiasts a clear picture of the Mercedes-Benz sportscars, one of which is the SLK. It was a 2-door convertible that rubbed the shoulders with the Porsche Boxster and the likes. Interestingly, we found one listed for sale on Instagram at a breathtakingly low price tag of Rs. 14.95 lakh only. It is equivalent to the on-road price of Turbo variant of 2020 Hyundai Verna. It has been listed on sale at CarDeal.NSP, who are located in Delhi.

The Mercedes-Benz SLK that is listed on sale is the 2007 model. It is almost 13 years old and therefore sees this major depreciation in its value. However, it had one reliable and powerful engine under its hood. The SLK 350 was sold with a 3.5L 90-degree V6 motor that was capable enough to produce a peak power output of 305 PS at 6,500 rpm and maximum torque of 360 Nm at 4,900 clicks. To upkeep the performance-oriented specifications in check, it comes with a 7-speed G-Tronic automatic gearbox.

The SLK 350 tipped the scale at 1,486 kilograms. With all the power going to the rear wheels of the car, the top-speed of the SLK was electronically limited at 250 kmph and a run from standstill to 100 kmph took a shade over 5 seconds. Since this particular model wears a red paint scheme, it looks even faster. It sits on a set of 17-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels that are shod with 225 section tyres at the front and 245 section tyres at the rear.

Talking of the aesthetics, they are worthy enough to let anyone go bonkers about the design. It gets a long bonnet with the typical speed-line type hood that was inspired by the legendary SLR McLaren. With a stubby tail, it boasts of conventional wedge-shaped roadster design. With all of these sharp lines and curves infused together, SLK boasted of a drag coefficient value of just 0.32. So, in case the SLK excited you in the video games of the early 2000s, this seems like a good deal. Also, taking the roof down in public is another party trick that one would enjoy to the core.
