Last year, Tata Motors shared a poster for poking fun at the poor safety rating of Hyundai Grand i10 Nios in the Global NCAP crash tests
Recently, Global NCAP has revealed the crash test results of three vehicles, namely- Maruti S-Presso, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Kia Seltos. The crash test results were that not good, and netizens around the country were quite open about it. A few days back, Tata Motors shared a poster on its social media platforms, smartly teasingMaruti S-Presso for its poor safety rating. Now, the carmaker has cleverly teased the latest-gen i10. The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios has scored 2-star safety rating for the adult occupants and 2-star rating for child occupants.
The rating of the car is quite low for a small hatchback. On the other side, its direct competitor, Tata Tiago has scored a 4-star adult safety rating and 3-star child safety rating. In the poster shared by Tata Motors, one can see 2 and 4 written in roman numerals with a sign for “less than” placed between them.
The message by translates to “Two is less than four”, which refers to the adult occupant score of both the cars. The ‘I’ used in this poster has been styled to match the ones used on Hyundai i10 or i20. The poster also features another message stating“It’s not Grand science, its simple maths.”
Hyundai launched the Grand i10 Nios in our market last year. The hatchback is doing well in the market in terms of overall sales. On the other hand, Tata is slowly getting popular among the new buyers in the country because of its stylish looks and robust built quality. Tata Tiago is among the best-selling cars offered by the automaker in our market. Talking about the Tata hatchback, it derives power from a 1.2-litre petrol engine, which develops 84bhp of power and 113 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes coupled to a 5-speed MT or AMT. It gets retailed at a starting price of Rs 4.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base trim and goes all the way up to Rs 6.74 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec variant.
