Here’s a stylish new generation Mahindra Thar which gets massive multi-spoke silver-coloured rims that measure 20-inch in diameter
Mahindra & Mahindra recently launched the new-gen Thar in the Indian market. The SUV is getting a great response for the potential buyers around the country. The new-gen Mahindra Thar looks quite similar to that of the Jeep Wrangler. The car is also doing well in terms of sales as the off-roader has registered more than 20,000 bookings in just a short span of time. The new-gen Mahindra Thar was launched in India on 2nd October 2020. The first-gen model of the Thar is among the most modified SUVs in the country, and the new-gen model of the car is no less. The enthusiasts around the country have started customized the all-new Mahindra as per their preference. Here’s a new-gen Mahindra Thar which gets aftermarket alloy wheels.
The stock trim of 2020 Mahindra Thar comes with smart-looking 17-inch alloy wheels. The Mahindra you see here features silver colours, five-spoke alloy wheels. The exact size of these aftermarket units is not known, but they seem to be 20-inchers. The alloy wheels are wrapped with low profile tyres. The biggest drawback of getting such big alloy wheels is that they are prone to damage when encountering potholes or speed bumps at high speed. Other than this, no customization has been done on the SUV.
Mechanically, the new-gen Mahindra Thar derives power from 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine. The former develops 150bhp of power and 320 Nm of peak torque, while the latter puts out power and torque outputs of 130 PS and 320 Nm. Transmission duties are done by a 5-speed MT or a 5-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The all-new Mahindra Thar is developed on a new platform and is bigger in dimensions as compared to its predecessor. It is retailed at a starting price of Rs 11.34 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base trim and goes all the way up to Rs 16.58 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec variant.
