MG Motors made its debut in our market back in 2019. Their first product in India was the Hector, which got quite popular among the SUV buyers in India. The MG SUV became so popular among buyers across the country that the carmaker stopped accepting bookings for the Hector for a short period of time. The SUV is very commonly spotted on our roads. Last year, the carmaker introduced the new 7-seater version of the Hector, which is known as the Hector Plus. Early this year, the carmaker introduced the 2021 version of the Hector and the Hector Plus. Now, the carmaker has released a new TVC video of the new MG Hector Plus 7-seater.

This video has been uploaded by the official YouTube channel of Morris Garages India. This is a short video, which mainly focuses on the third row of Hector Plus. The video shows, two children planning how they are going to travel in the SUV as seven people are travelling in the car including their dog. Afterwards, their father comes into the frame and asks them that why they are not inside the car. The children tell that there is no space in the second-row seats of the car as they are already filled. Their father takes them to the car and reveals the third row of seats to them. Then the video shows the whole family comfortably travelling inside the MG Hector Plus.



MG Hector's Indonesian Variant Gets ADAS Tech, India Launch Likely

As compared to the 2020 model, the new version of the SUV gets subtle cosmetic updates. Mechanically, it derives power from 1.5-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. The former develops power and torque outputs of 143 PS and 250 Nm, respectively. However, the latter is capable of shredding out 170 PS of peak power and 350 Nm of torque. A mild hybrid version of MG Hector is also on offer, which is offered with the same gasoline unit. The non-hybrid version of the car is offered with a DCT gearbox, while the hybrid one comes paired with a manual transmission. On the other hand, the diesel engine only comes mated to a manual gearbox.
