The standard variant Sigma is offered at the lowest price of Rs 5.63 lakh. Sitting above the base Sigma is the best-selling variant Delta which is priced from Rs 6.51 lakh. With the price distinction of Rs 81,000, we can expect to see some significant differences in terms of features between these two variants. 2. Maruti Baleno Sigma vs Delta: Exterior

In terms of the design, the Delta features chrome grille which is missing out on the base Sigma. Along with that, the Delta is stacked with a load of extra exterior features including electrically foldable rearview mirror, rear window wiper, rear washer and defogger, rearview mirror turn indicator. Power adjustable exterior rearview mirror is offered on the Delta while the Sigma trim is equipped with the manual unit only. Additionally, the Delta also gets a projector headlight and LED light guides for the exterior.

The Sigma comes with very standard exterior features 

Sigma, on the other hand, only receives standard features like adjustable headlight, rear spoiler, integrated antenna and halogen headlamps, body-coloured door handles and bumpers with black-out A-, B-, and C-pillar.

In terms of the interior design, Maruti Baleno Delta comes with some additional elements that are not seen on the standard version like metal finish inside door handle along with metal finish tipped parking brake. The Delta also displays outside temperature, which is not available on the Sigma.

On the variant above, we will see an increase in the number of comfort features. Some highlights features of the Maruti Baleno includes power window for both the front and rear, rear seat headrest with adjustable function, multifunction steering wheel, gear shift indicator, keyless entry. Moreover, the Delta is added with 60:40 split rear seats while the Sigma only gets bench folding feature.

Entertainment

The entertainment features are completely absent on the Sigma trim. The Delta is better equipped with standard feature CD player, radio, audio system for the front and rear. It is armed with integrated 2DIN audio system, Bluetooth connectivity, and USB Aux-input. However, both of the two variants do not get the touchscreen system.

Safety

In terms of safety, Maruti Baleno’s standard safety feature list includes ABS with EBD, central locking, dual front airbags, rear side view mirror, seat belt warning, high-speed warning, ISOFIX child seat mounts, speed-sensing auto door lock, and passenger-side rearview mirror. The Delta is only slightly better equipped with the addition of power door locks. Apart from that, two variants share the same safety feature list.

Maruti Baleno comes with two choices of engines, be it a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine or a 1.3-litre turbocharged motor. While the former is capable of producing 84PS of top power and 115Nm of peak torque, the latter can deliver a maximum power output of 75PS/190Nm. While the Sigma is available with only the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine and 1.3-litre turbocharged diesel motor. These engines only come with a standard 5-speed manual gearbox only. On the other hands, the Delta is added with an option of a petrol engine with a mild hybrid system.
