The 2019 BMW 1-Series will make a global debut on September 28, 2019, the car now features fresh looks and advanced features.

The German carmaker BMW has recently revealed the upcoming 2019 third-generation 1-Series. The car will make a global debut on September 28, 2019. In terms of dimensions, the BMW 1-Series is 4,319 mm long, 1,799 mm wide and 1,434 mm tall. It comes with a wheelbase of 2,670 mm. As compared to the outgoing car, the new-gen model's length and wheelbase are shorter by 5 mm and 20 mm. On the other hand, the width and height are increased by 34 mm and 13 mm respectively. Up front, the car employs a conjoined kidney grille along with a dual-tone bumper. Illumination duties are done by new looking fog lamps which are bordered by C-shaped DRLs and, the bonnet has bold surface treatment.

As compared to the outgoing car, the new-gen model's length and wheelbase are shorter by 5 mm and 20 mm.

The window on the side rises upwards towards the rear and, there is a crease line parallel to it below. Completing the overall picture with a new looking rear, which employs a dual tone bumper with a single exhaust pipe along with L-shaped light elements in the tail lamp cluster. The BMW M135i equips a mesh grille at the front, vertical vents on the front bumper and dual exhaust pipes at the rear. On the inside, the car is now more airy and roomy as BMW claims that they have enhanced the passenger as well as trunk space. Moreover, the rear seats now offer 19 mm higher headroom, 33 mm additional knee room and 13 mm higher elbow room while the front seat passengers offer 33 mm of extra elbow room.

BMW claims that the 1-series can sprint from 0-100 in just 4.8 seconds and can touch a top speed of 250 km/h.

The luggage space has been increased by 20 mm. Infotainment duties will be done by an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and, a dual 10.25-inch display also provided which works as an instrument cluster. The car will also feature electric tailgate and panoramic roof. The upcoming BMW 1-series will derive power from 3 diesel and 2 petrol engine options. The power output produced by these motors ranges from 114 bhp to 302 bhp. The top of the line M 135i comes with a 2-litre petrol engine which develops 302 bhp. BMW claims that the 1-series can sprint from 0-100 in just 4.8 seconds and can touch a top speed of 250 km/h.
