2019 Ford Endeavour Launched In India From Rs 28.19 Lakh

Ford has officially introduced facelifted Endeavour avatar in India at Rs 28.19 Lakh. The latest generation of Endeavour SUV carries a host of cosmetic changes along with several additional features.

Visually, it is a bit tricky to identify the latest iteration of Ford Endeavour with the models that it replaces. Changes to the exterior of the 2019 Ford Endeavour is marginal in nature. The SUV holds a new triple-slat grille plated with chrome garnish and a refreshed lower air intake while in the side profile, it is integrated with a new set of diamond-cut dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels. Other exterior kits like bumpers, projector headlamps with LED DRLs and taillights, skid-plats remain unchanged as in the outgoing model. The carmaker has added a new body shade- Diffused Silver Metallic to the car’s colour options including Sunset Red, Absolute Black, Diamond White and Moondust Silver.

The SUV has undergone a minor tweak on the exterior front

Inside the cabin, the 2019 Ford Endeavour now features a two-tone black and beige theme which is noticed as the biggest change. A handful of new equipment and features are spotted on the all-new premium SUV comprising of a start-stop push button with keyless entry, 8-method power adjustable front passenger seat and smart tailgate control. The top-spec Titanium+ grade is better-loaded with the Sync3 touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, panoramic sunroof, Ford MyKey, Driver’s knee airbag, dual-zone temperature control, tyre pressure monitoring system, terrain management system and semi-automatic parallel park assist. For enhancing the better convenience and comfort, the Toyota Fortuner’s adversary comes featured with a multi-function steering wheel with cruise control, second-row 60:40 split seats, one-touch anti-pinch power windows and more.

While the international spec Ford Endeavour is available with a 2.0-litre oil burner attached with a 10-speed automatic gearbox, the India-spec Endeavour retains the outgoing model’s powertrain system including a 2.2-litre diesel engine and a 3.2-litre diesel motor as an option. The former comes to deliver the maximum power and torque of 160 PS/ 385 Nm while the top-spec 3.2-litre engine can be tuned for 200 PS/470 Nm units. In an effort to redefine its name and take on the crowd favourite of its segment over the Toyota Fortuner, Ford returns the manual gearbox on the refreshed ladder-frame SUV. The transmission options for the 2.2-litre version include a 6-speed manual and automatic units while the bigger-sized burner gets a 6-speed automatic unit exclusively.
