2019 Hyundai Elite i20 To Be Available With Wireless Charger

Hyundai Motor India Ltd will add a wireless charger to the features list of the Hyundai Elite i20 for the 2019 model year

Hyundai Motor India Ltd is said to be updating the features list of the Hyundai Elite i20 for the model year 2019. These new updates are due to arrive by the middle of 2019. Details of the new i20 are yet to be shown officially by Hyundai but Motorbeam reports that the new i20 will come in four variants, some of which differ from what is being offered on the current model. Era and Astra (O) remain while the Magna Executive and Sportz are replaced by Magna+ and Sportz+, respectively.

The changes in the name reflect the addition on the feature package. For example, the Magna+ has DRLs, front fog lights and chrome grille for the exterior, and Bluetooth connectivity and steering mounted audio controls and voice recognition for the interior, all of which is not on offer in the current Magna.

Buyers who are interested in the Sportz+ could pick either single-tone paint or a dual-tone paint finish. Each will come with a different wheelset, a 15-inch alloy wheels for one-coloured models or a 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels for dual-tone exterior paint. Besides, chrome grille, Arkamys audio system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, rear camera and driver sliding armrest are also added to the package.

2019 Hyundai i20 will be the first car in the segment to get wireless charger feature 

On top of that, the higher trims, Sportz+ and Asta (O) will get the first-in-the-segment feature of wireless phone charging. The standard features list will include reverse parking sensor, which is only available on the Asta and Asta (O) at the moment. Besides, to improve the experience inside the cabin, the Hyundai i20 now has Eco Coating feature that is designed to refresh the air and keep a good smell inside the car. Under the hood, the i20 will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine or a 1.4-litre diesel engine. The transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed manual gearbox.
