2019 Hyundai Venue Teased Through an Official Sketch

Hyundai Venue will be Hyundai’s answer to the calling of the fast-growing sub-four-meter compact SUV segment. It will become the smallest SUV in Hyundai’s global production profile. In India, the new Hyundai Venue will go against the Vitara Brezza, Nexon, Ecosport and XUV300.

Hyundai Venue is due to launch next month. The exterior of the sub-compact SUV is not fully revealed yet, but it is expected to get styling clues from other Hyundai SUVs, such as the Santa Fe and Creta. Recently, sketchy drawings of the new model have been revealed, thereby giving us the general idea of how the Venue will look like. From the sketch, the Hyundai Venue features the signature cascading grille along with slim headlight units on the front end. It is likely that the Venue will get prominent character lines on several sections of the body.

Hyundai Venue is expected to come at full force in terms of technology. It is packed with a host of segment-first connectivity features, promising to raise the bar for the segment. Hyundai has confirmed to equip the Venue with the Blue Link technology. Specifically, 10 out of 33 connectivity features are designed particularly for the Indian market. Some notable features on the Venue include real-time traffic notification, AI-based voice assistant and more. Besides, other comfort features that will also come with the Hyundai Venue includes a touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, reverse parking camera and sensors, and engine start/stop.

Hyundai Venue on the international market gets three engine options, 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, 1.4-litre petrol and a 1.4-litre diesel engine. These engines come with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.

The sub-compact SUV segment is developing at an incredible speed. And this segment has attracted the largest manufacturers in the market, from Maruti to Tata, Mahindra and so on. Each of them tried to bring in a distinctive flavour to the mixture, creating an exciting segment. To start successfully, Hyundai might offer the well-equipped Venue at a very competitive price, possibly from 8.0 lakh.

Hyundai Venue will debut at the 2019 New York International Auto Show on April 17. It is expected to go on sale on May 21.
