2019 Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo will come with a fleet of styling updates

Toyota has gained enough success in the Indian car market mostly thanks to the Toyota Fortuner and Toyota Innova Crysta. Both are the best-selling models in their respective segments. Toyota Fortuner retains unparalleled popularity in the space of full-sized SUV segment throughout the years despite the strong competitors like Ford Endeavor, Skoda Kodiaq and the entrance of new models like Isuzu MU-X, and Mahindra Alturas G4. Even though the dominance of the Toyota Fortuner is irreversible, this model currently suffers a slight slump in sales. Thereby, Toyota has decided to add a new variant named TRD Sportivo to refresh Fortuner's appeal and boost its sales.

Besides, the mechanical parts of the TRD Sportivo also underwent retuning. However, Toyota will work mostly on the cosmetic aspect of the new variant for launch in India market. TRD Sportivo variant will keep the same engineering from the regular version to keep the price under check.
