2020 Hyundai ix25 (Hyundai Creta) Launched In China

The long-awaited 2020 Hyundai ix25 (known as the 2020 Hyundai Creta in India) was launched in China two days ago at a price range from CNY 1,05,800 (INR 10,62,288.68) to CNY 1,36,800 (INR 13,73,545.29).

Inspired by the Hyundai Palisade in terms of the exterior design, the new Hyundai ix25 looks bold and aggressive to attract more young buyers. The new SUV now gets a more outstanding radiator grille flanked by vertically-positioned modern split LED headlights. The rear comes with a totally offbeat lighting system which consists of vertically-located split taillights.

Although the exterior may be a little bit too bold and aggressive; as regards the interior, the vehicle looks really premium and elegant. The new Hyundai ix25 is now equipped with a newly-designed compact driving wheel, a 10-inch portrait-shape touchscreen infotainment unit and glossy horizontal air vents. Moreover, it gets a 12.3-inch LCD instrument panel which is borrowed from the 2020 Hyundai Verna and contributes to the modern feel inside the cabin.

Other outstanding features of the new ix25 include a 360-degree camera system, automatic electric parking brake, a panoramic sunroof. The SUV provides the driver with four driving modes, Comfort, Eco, Sport and Smart. Complemented with the three terrain modes: Sand, Mud and Snow, all of these modes increase the SUV’s practicality in various driving conditions.

The new Hyundai ix25 can ensure all the occupants a safe journey by offering a wide range of advanced safety features. These include adaptive high beam, collision avoidance system, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitor and driver attention warning, all of which help the vehicle become one of the best-equipped SUV in the safety front in the Indian auto market.

As regards the dimensions, the new ix25 is 4,300 mm long; 1,790 mm wide and 1,620 mm high.  The 2020 Hyundai i25 is now powered by a 1.5-litre gasoline burner as a substitute for the 1.6-litre petrol unit. The new motor can generate 84.4 kW (115.75 PS) at 6,300 rpm against 143.8 Nm at 4,500 rpm. The transmission duties are undertaken by a 6-speed MT unit and a new CVT one. Its claimed fuel mileage is up to 5.3L/100 km (18.86 kmpl), which can vary depending on the chosen configuration.
