A digital artist tries to showcase his idea of how the 2020 MG Hector facelift would look like in the form of a digital render.

MG Motors made their entry in the Indian automotive market with just one car, the Hector, which has proven to be a successful product for the manufacturer. The car comes loaded to the gills with features that were, at the time of the launch, never seen before in the segment. These include a connected features suite and a panoramic sunroof. The car was also announced sold out for the year 2019 in the month of October itself. The car is still clocking decent numbers for the manufacturer, but the competition is now getting stiffer with every passing day. Other manufacturers are also coming up with nose-jobs for their outgoing cars, while some are opting for a generation change.

To keep the Hector in line with the competition, MG might be already planning on refreshing the exterior of the car . On that note, we have come across a video on YouTube where a digital artist has tried to give the Hector a refreshed face. The video was uploaded by BM Automotive Design and it begins by making changes to the front facet of the car. The front fascia of the car has been thoroughly redesigned with an X-shaped front grille. The grille is highlighted with chrome surrounds and wears an MG logo in the centre. The new iteration of the grille appears to be inspired by the Mitsubishi Xpander and does look quite bold.

The designer has also tweaked the headlamps of the Hector to give them a sharper design. The headlamps are now divided into two separate units. A full-LED cluster sits right in between the DRLs and the foglamps, while a sperate projector unit is placed next to the fog lamps in the same housing. Rest, everything is kept untouched on the front face of the Hector.

What If MG Hector Facelift Looks Like This?

MG has recently showcased the Hector Plus at the 2020 Auto Expo.

The sides of the Hector get a new design for the alloy wheels. The rear-end car has also been tweaked by the artist, as it now gets a spoiler integrated into the body of the car. However, everything else remains unchanged.
