Skoda Drops New Teaser For 2020 Skoda Octavia

The ongoing-generation Skoda Octavia made its debut in the domestic market in 2013. During its lifetime, the third-gen Octavia was given a throughout upgrade once back in 2017. This year, the car is scheduled to get new-generation updates. The new-gen Octavia was spotted for several times. However, recently, Skoda has teased some official sketch images of its next-gen sedan for the first time. This new-generation Skoda Octavia is expected to debut at its mother country on November 11 this year before hitting other markets.

The sketch pictures have hinted some major exterior design updates for the new Skoda Octavia. Starting from the fascia, the premium sedan will welcome a new one-piece setting for the headlights. Besides, the headlights are designed to look sharper, more angular. It also gets a wide grille with LED lights on both the front and the rear. On the high-end variants, it might come with special Matrix LED highlights which are featured on the Skoda Superb as well. The sketch images do not give a detailed description of the whole design. However, it is expected that the new-gen Octavia might get a dynamic turn indicator with LED lights. To the rear end, Skoda Octavia features L-shaped taillights setting. Skoda logo now makes way for the new “Skoda” block lettering. Generally, the Skoda Octavia gets a more elegant design.

2020 Skoda Octavia is likely to get new updates for its exterior and interior

The interior of the Skoda Octavia is parting with all the complicated details and targeting at a more simplistic design. It is updated with the latest MIB 3 infotainment system from Volkswagen Group. Regarding the powertrains, Skoda Octavia is expected to come with a range of powertrains. Besides the petrol and diesel engine will be included along with a 48V mild-hybrid system. For our market, 2020 Skoda Octavia is likely to debut with a 1.5-litre TSI turbo petrol engine and a 2.0-litre TDI turbo diesel engine.
