Tata Tigor is seen undergoing road testing again on public roads. Here are the details of the latest spy shots.

Tata Motors is gearing toward the launch of 2020 Tata Tigor. It has been seen doing road test for several times. Recently, Tata Tigor facelift is spied again while doing road testing on Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

Launched in March 2017, the ongoing Tata Tigor is the epitome of the IMPACT Design philosophy. The latest updates were given to this hatchback in October last year. However, the yearly update included only subtle exterior changes. The upcoming mid-life makeover will bring out some fresh and new elements to the current Tigor model.

Exteriorly, Tata Tigor will get refreshed front grille and bumper and revised headlights and taillights along with new alloy wheels. The on-going version is equipped with projector headlamps, LED taillamps, and 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels on the top-spec variant.

Tata Tigor Facelift 2020 is unlikely to be available with diesel engine

At the moment, Tata Tigor has two powertrains including the 1.2-litre Revotron petrol and the 1.0-litre Revotorq diesel motor. The petrol engine is good for 85 BHP and 114 Nm and the oil-burner is able to produce the maximum power of 80 BHP and peak torque of 140 Nm. On the petrol range, there are two gearbox options, a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox while the diesel engine is only paired with only 5-speed manual transmission only. However, coming to the facelift version, it is unlikely that the diesel engine will be continued due to the expensive cost of updating the diesel motor to be BSVI-compliant. On the other hand, the petrol unit will surely be revised to meet the upcoming emission regulations.

It is expected that Tata will introduce the facelift by the end of this year. The facelift Tata Tigor is likely to be slightly increased in price. Currently, Tata Tigor’s price range starts at 5.55 Lakhs and goes up to Rs 7.72 Lakhs.
