New-gen Hyundai Tucson has finally shed its veils. It now features updated styling on the outside and on the inside along with a set of updated engines.

After teasing us with various images, Hyundai has finally taken the wrap off the 2021 Hyundai Tucson. At its full grace, the new Hyundai Tucson appears to flaunt a futuristic and impressive design. Additionally, the interior of Hyundai Tucson also receives various updates. One of the major updates on the new-gen Hyundai Tucson is the plug-in hybrid powertrain.

2021 India-spec Hyundai Tucson is finally revealed

The upcoming Hyundai Tucson is developed from the Vision-T concept. The concept model made an appearance at the Los Angeles Auto Show last year. The final design of the 2020 Hyundai Tucson draws inspiration from Hyundai’s Parametric Dynamic design language, which is an evolved version of the Sensuous Sportiness design philosophy. On the front end, the Tucson fosters a dominant and imposing grille integrated with LED DRLs, which are simply carried forward from the original concept. On the lower part, the new Hyundai Tucson gets a split LED headlamps which have now become a norm for most Hyundai SUVs.

On the side profile, Hyundai Tucson features sharp character lines and creases, pronounced wheel arches, and dual-tone alloy wheels. All of this is emphasizing the futuristic styling. On the rear end, the taillights are connected via a thin light bar running across the boot lid. Moreover, it also features a uniquely-shaped taillight housing. The Hyundai logo is moved upward to the grass area.

New-gen Hyundai Tucson will come with an extensively updated exterior

The interior of the new-gen Tucson is also futuristic in terms of look and equipment. The wrap-around dashboard design which we usually see on luxury cars can be seen on Hyundai Tucson's cabin, making it the interior look even more upmarket and premium. Moreover, Tucson's interior gets two large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system for instrument console and infotainment unit along with a touch-sensitive control panel for the HVAC unit. It gets horizontally laid-out AC vents that stretch across the width.

As far as the features are concerned, the Hyundai Tucson is loaded to the gills. It features some new highlight features like 10.25-inch touchscreen, Bose sound system, air purifier, sunroof, and voice command system. On the safety front, the new-gen Tucson is equipped with advanced features like Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Highway Driving Assist, Blindspot View monitor as well as  Blindspot collision warning.

Hyundai Tucson will get a new revised interior 

2021 Hyundai Tucson will be offered with two choices of engine, a 2.5-litre petrol engine and a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol plug-in hybrid engine. The bigger 2.5-litre unit generates a top power of 190 PS and a maximum torque of 247 Nm. It comes exclusively with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. On the other hand, the smaller 1.6-litre turbo engine companied by plug-in hybrid can crank out the combined output of 230 PS and 350Nm. It is expected that next-gen Hyundai Tucson will make its debut in 2022. Hyundai might want to introduce an N Line version of the car as well. Talking of its India launch, it is expected to take place some time next year.
