2021 Mahindra XUV300 Petrol AMT Launched At Rs 9.95 Lakh

Mahindra has finally introduced the automatic version of the petrol engine variant of the XUV300. The AMT gearbox option is offered for the Mahindra XUV300 W6 and the W8 (O). This variant costs Rs 9.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Apart from the introduction of the new gearbox, Mahindra also adds BlueSense Plus connectivity technologies for the Mahindra XUV300 AMT.

Mahindra XUV300 Petrol is now available with both automatic and manual gearbox 

Mahindra BlueSense Plus system is designed to provide smart functions that can be categorized into four main groups, remote vehicle controls, location-based functions, safety and security, vehicle alerts. Some remote vehicle control functions include remote door lock/unlock, remote air conditioning system, and hazard light control. As for the location-based function category, there are live vehicle tracking and vehicle location sharing. To enhance the safety and security of the car, the BlueSens Plus system will send alerts in case of car theft, geofencing, time-fencing, or low tyre pressure. Over-speeding and seatbelt alert are also a part of the package. Besides, the connectivity system also provide live details of the vehicle regarding fuel level, tyre pressure and odometer reading via a smartphone application.

There is also an important addition of sunroof for the lower variants including W6 and W8. Previously, this feature is limited to the top-spec W8 (O) variant only. In addition, it is worth mentioning that Mahindra XUV300 is full-equipped in terms of safety. The vehicle is one of the safest cars in India with the maximum five-star Global NCAP rating.

Back to the new automated manual gearbox itself, Mahindra claimed that the new gearbox option will provide an “effortless driving” experience. To ensure that the transmission gearbox can behave composedly and responsively, Mahindra offers Hill Hold Assist, double kick-down shift and “one-pedal” drive creep.

There are four trims on offer, including W4, W6 and W8, and W8 (O) variants. It is available with two engine options, a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine. The petrol engine which now gets AMT option is capable of making 110 PS and 200 Nm. The diesel engine, on the other hand, is good for 117 PS and 300 Nm. This engine has already come with both 6-speed MT transmission and 6-speed AMT.

Mahindra XUV300 is priced from Rs 7.95 lakh to Rs 12.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The diesel-AMT's price starts from Rs 10.20 lakh and goes up to Rs 12.30 lakh. Booking for the Mahindra XUV300 petrol AMT has commenced. Mahindra XUV300 is currently competing in the highly competitive segment against Hyundai Venue, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, and Tata Nexon.
