All-new Maruti Suzuki WagonR Vxi Spied Undisguised Before Launch

The highly-awaited Maruti Suzuki WagonR is all set to be launched on January 23, 2019. Maruti Suzuki has commenced the official pre-bookings for the all-new WagonR for a token amount of Rs 11.000 across its dealerships, and the deliveries are also expected to be done on its official launch date. Ahead of the official launch, the new model was recently spotted in its VXi trim at a dealership stockyard.

As we have mentioned earlier, the new generation of Maruti WagonR is developed on the robust Heartect Platform. Getting an increment in its dimension, the new WagonR grows by 35 mm in length, 5 mm in height and 125 mm in width, marking a more spacious tall-boy hatchback compared to its predecessor. The upcoming WagonR has been redesigned with new twin-pod headlamps, revised bumper and a fresh new grille. A newly revamped rear also make a presence on the new-gen WagonR. The taller tail lights look good on the hatchback, and the black elements on the C-pillar give the roof a floating effect.  It will come with six body paint options including Superior White, Silky Silver, Magna Grey, Autumn Orange, Nutmeg Brown and Poolside Blue. In these pictures, the WagonR gets the Autumn Orange colour.

Safer than the outgoing model, the 2019 Maruti Suzuki WagonR gets significant updates in the features list with driver’s side airbags, front seat belt reminder, ABS with EBD, speed alert and rear parking camera being standard across its variants. As can be seen in the spied images, the all-new WagonR Vxi is packed with an integrated audio unit.

The modern interior of the new-gen WagonR has been revealed

Coming with three trims comprising the LXi, VXi, ZXi, the Maruti Suzuki WagonR will get the power from two engine options: a 1.0-litre cylinder and a 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine along with both 5-speed manual and AMT automatic transmission. The car is expected to be positioned at Rs 4.5 lakh to Rs 6.5 lakh to take on the Hyundai Santro, Datsun Go and Tata Tiago in the Indian auto space.
