Skoda has plans to introduce the new-gen Rapid in the Indian market next year. Once launched, it’ll rival with the likes of Hyundai Verna, Maruti Ciaz and VW Vento.

Skoda Rapid is its company’s most affordable car offered in our market. It rivals with the likes of Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Ciaz, and VW Vento. A few months back, the company introduced the new BS6-compliant model of the sedan in India. Skoda discontinued the older 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol and diesel engine and introduced a new 1.0-litre BS6 compliant engine, which belts out 110 PS of peak power and 175 Nm of twisting force. Other than that, the sedan remained unchanged. The current-gen model of the sedan was first introduced back in 2011, and in the year 2017, Skoda introduced the new facelift model of the car with a few subtle tweaks.
