Gabba Champion Mohammed Siraj Drives Home a BMW After Returning to India

Cricketers are often seen driving a flashy set of wheels and making it to the headlines for same. This time around, it is the right-arm medium-fast bowler – Mohd. Siraj, who has managed to gain a lot of limelight with his marvellous performance at Gabba and with this new set of wheels in Hyderabad. After returning from Australia, the cricketer posted a video clip of a brand new BMW car. The pacer posted a short video of him driving his new BMW car on the roads of Hyderabad. The Beemer in the video had temporary registration plates, which further confirmed that it was brand new.

While the videos shared on the internet are not clear, but it looks like the fast bowler has bought the BMW’s mid-size saloon – 5 Series. BMW 5 Series is one of the best-selling models in its segment. It starts at Rs. 56.00 lakh and tops out at Rs. 69.10 lakh. It is offered with a total of three engine options. There’s a 2.0L 4-cylinder petrol motor that develops a peak power output of 252 PS and max torque of 530 Nm.

Next on the list is a 2.0L oil burner with a rated power output of 190 PS and max torque of 400 Nm. The last one on the list is a 3.0L turbocharged diesel engine, and it is capable of producing a peak power output of 265 PS and max torque of 620 Nm. Transmission duties on the 5 Series are performed by an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox only. BMW 5 Series rivals the likes of Audi A6, Volvo S90, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and more.
