Hyundai Showcases Le Fil Rouge Concept at Auto Expo 2020

Hyundai has today showcased the Le Fil Rouge (HDC-1) concept car at the Auto Expo 2020 – a brand new model that sets the direction for the brand’s future design philosophy. The Hyundai Le Fil Rouge is a conceptual study that was first introduced at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show and now it sits on Hyundai’s pavilion in India at the ongoing Auto Expo.

Using the company’s 'Sensuous Sportiness' design theme that's the base of models like Hyundai Kona Electric, Hyundai Santa Fe, and Hyundai Nexo. The Le Fil Rouge concept looks futuristic with a humongous cascading front grille up front, integrated headlamps, a sloping roofline along with many sharp creases and character lines. The short front and rear overhangs combined with a long wheelbase also emphasise the Le Fil Rouge concept’s coupe-like appearance.

The interior of the Hyundai Le Fil Rouge concept follows a minimalistic design. It gets white upholstery and wood inserts, adding to the premium and sophistication level of the model. The squared two-spoke steering looks unique. The joint digital instrument panel with infotainment system taking up the centre place of the dashboard. The concept car also offers rear-seat infotainment for passengers sitting in the second-row via display-screens mounted at the back of the front seats.

Many design components of the Le Fil Rouge Concept are passed on the new Sonata sedan which had its world’s premiere at the 2019 New York Auto Show. The new-gen Sonata comes in a sporty four-door coupe-like sedan guise that strays far from the conventional silhouette of the preceding versions.
