As for the exterior, the Hyundai Staria features a wide rectangular grille that runs from side to side of the front fascia along with a thin full-width LED DRL. For the side profile, Hyundai keeps the design clean and simple with toned-down character lines and details. The most noticeable design element is the flared wheel arches. There is also a broad window area that allows a lot of light to enter the cabin. The rear end of the MPV continues to follow the minimal and futuristic theme that is used on the side and the front design. The rear boasts narrow vertical LED taillights.

That’s for the standard model. Besides, there is also a higher-spec Staria Premium model that features a different design for the grille, a tinted brass chrome brand emblem, different design for the wheels, outside mirrors and door handles. To distinguish itself from the standard model, the Premium version also gets 18-inch alloy wheels with diamond pattern and graphics.

On the inside, the interior of the Staria is claimed to reflect the design of a “lounge of a cruise ship”. Moreover, it receives inspiration from Hyundai Tucson’s “InterSpace” language. In fact, the Hyundai Staria borrows the broad air vents. On the centre of the dashboard stands a large panel that houses both the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and touch-sensitive climate controls. Hyundai Staria also gets a similar design for the push-button gear level with the Hyundai Sonata. The seating configurations of the Hyundai Staria can vary, from 7-seater to 11-seater. In the 9-seater version, there will be second-row seats that can turn around to face the third row. On the other hand, the seven-seater model will come with a one-touch relaxation mode for the second-row seats with wrap-around headrests and pop-up leg rests.

It is not announced yet what engine Hyundai Staria will keep under the hood. However, it is expected to be available with a range of petrol and diesel engines. It is not decided if the new MPV will make it to the Indian market or not. Hyundai might consider it for the Indian market since the name was trademarked in India. If launched, Hyundai Staria will come against the Toyota Innova Crysta and the Kia Carnival.
