Hyundai has officially launched the Verna facelift in the country in a total of 4 variants. Also, there will be 3 engine options and 5 gearbox options to choose from.
Hyundai has finally launched the Verna facelift in the country. The prices of the Verna facelift start at Rs. 9.30 lakh for the base-spec S variant and tops out at Rs. 15.1 lakh for the range-topping SX(O) variant. It will be offered in a total of 4 trims, namely S, S+, SX, and SX(O). Hyundai started accepting the bookings for the facelifted Verna back in March this year. The Spirited New Verna, as Hyundai likes to call it, features a slew of changes on the outside and as well on the inside. However, it continues to be the same car under the skin.
Hyundai Verna facelift features striking new design for the LED DRLs.
With the facelift, the Verna gets an updated front facet. To start with, the radiator grille has grown up in size and features a new dark-chrome theme. The revised headlamp clusters now feature all-LED elements with brisker LED DRLs. The bumper is resculpted to get a lot more creases and sharp lines. There’s a chrome lip on the lowermost part of the bumper now. Moving over to the sides, the changes are limited to the new design for the dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels.
The coupe-like side-profile of the Verna continues to give it a sporty appeal.
The rear facet is also updated to bring in some harmony with the front fascia. The tail lamps feature a slight revision to their design, while the bumper is now home for some chiseled sections. The interior of the car is updated as well. There’s an all-digital instrument cluster on the top-end trims. The cabin is now finished in all-black theme for the Turbo variant, while the black-beige theme is used on other variants.
The Turbo variant of the Verna facelift will get an all-black theme with red inserts for the interior.
However, the biggest change on the Verna facelift is the list of new engine and gearbox options. Following the lines of other Hyundai cars, it now gets 3 engine options. There is a 1.5L 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol motor with a rated output of 115 PS/144 Nm. It will be offered with 2 transmission options – 6-speed MT and a CVT automatic. The next on the list is a 1.5L 4-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, which will belt out 115 PS/250 Nm. It will be available with 2 gearbox options as well. There will be a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT on offer. The last but the smallest and the most powerful unit of the lot is a 1.0L 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol motor that will belt out a peak power output of 120 PS and a max. torque of 172 Nm. It will be offered with a 7-speed DCT only. It will also be limited to the top-spec SX(O) trim.
