Hyundai Will Produce 9,000 Units Of Venue A Month In India

Hyundai has started accepting unofficial bookings for the new Venue at the dealership level. According to a recent report, the South Korean carmaker will roll out around 9,000 units of the new model every month.

India will be the first market in the world to welcome the Hyundai Venue. Expected to hit it big in the world’s fourth-largest car market, Hyundai has a plan on producing up to around 9,000 units of Venue a month to meet the strong demand from the word go.

The 2019 Hyundai Venue will set its first step into the Indian market before going on sale in the global space.

Clearly, the Hyundai Venue is among the most important model launches of the South Korean brand in 2019. Hyundai Motor has foreseen a positive momentum for the Venue sales performance in India with an expected volume of 8,000- 9,000 units on a monthly basis right from the beginning. With multiple of high-end connectivity features, daring-looking sporty design as well as various powertrain options, Hyundai is thoroughly confident about the future of the brand’s second SUV where it can pull the hearts of many customers in the age range of 25-30 years.

“I am sure this will be received very well and will redefine the way people have been looking at the sub-4-metre segment”, said Mr Puneet Anand, Sr. General Manager and Group Head, Market, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. “We have given the first connected SUV to the young audience, 25-30 years of age, who don’t treat car as a place of mobility, but they treat car as their third space.”, he added.

Expecting Hyundai to launch the Venue at the price of around Rs 8-12 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The launch is confirmed for the 21st of May, 2019.

The overall radical design of the India-spec Venue has been wrapped off to the enthusiasts. Engine-transmission package is also unveiled. The 2019 Hyundai Venue will be on sale with three types of engines- 1.0-litre T-GDI turbocharged petrol, 1.2-litre Kappa naturally aspirated petrol and 1.4-litre CRDI diesel motor option which will come to generate different states of tunes. At first, the new Venue will come with the 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged T-GDI gasoline burner mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard as well as the first-in-class 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission as an option. This mill can be tuned for 120 PS and 172 Nm torque.

On the other hand, the naturally aspirated petrol engine is good enough for 83 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque. It will be coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission only. The 1.4-litre diesel unit making 90 PS of power and 220 Nm of torque will send power to the wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. At launch, the all-new Hyundai SUV will take a fierce competition with the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford Ecosport in the country.
