Kia Seltos 2020 Brochure Leaked Before Launch

After the entrance of the MG Hector, Hyundai Venue, the Indian market is about to welcome the next big SUV launch with the Kia Seltos. Kia’s first product ever for the India market is one of the most anticipated models of the year. Booking for this model was commenced last month and Kia Seltos has accumulated a substantial amount of orders ahead of launch. Specs of the new SUV were widely acknowledged however the car manufacturer has not confirmed anything yet. Currently, the full brochure of the new Kia Seltos was leaked, unveiling full details of the upcoming models. First, let’s look at the engine options available on the soon-to-be-launch Kia Seltos:

The recently-leaked brochure has given away some fresh details about the Kia Seltos including the colour options and variant-wise features. Kia Seltos comes with a wide range of exterior paint schemes comprising of eight single-tone and five dual-tone options. The dual-tone exterior paints will only available on the HTX, GTK and GTX variants while the single-tone options will be offered across the range. Apart from the exterior colour options, Kia Seltos buyers could also choose among four different wheel options, namely, 17-inch crystal cut alloy, 17-inch hyper metallic alloy, 16-inch hyper metallic alloy and 16-inch steel wheel. According to the leaked brochure, Kia Seltos will be offered in eight trims including HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, GTK, GTX and GTX+. HTE is the entry-level variant which is available with a 6-speed manual transmission only. The standard pack is equipped with compulsory safety features like ABS with EBD, dual airbags, rear parking sensor, and full-disc brakes. It also sports a manual air conditioner with AC vents, manual driver seat height adjust, tilt and power steering wheel, front armrest keyless entry, 3.8-inch 2DIN Audio with Bluetooth connection and 4 speakers, and steering-wheel-mounted audio control, to name a few. Variant-wise features are listed below.

From the HTE variant upwards, we have four mid-range variants - HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+. Notably, ‘plus’ indicates the availability of both manual and automatic transmission instead of only a manual unit like the regular variants. The top-spec GT line includes three trims – GTK, GTX and GTX+. On the GT line, the engine range includes a 1.4-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine while the HT line is powered by either a 1.5-litre petrol or a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine. In the top-of-the-line variant, the Kia Seltos will come with the bells and whistles including interior features like sunroof, head-up display, UVO connectivity system, BOSE surround audio system, electrically adjustable driver seats, fast phone charger, and other safety features like blind-spot detection, front parking sensor and traction control. About the interior design, the base HTE, HTK, and HTK+ will come with an all-black colour scheme while the HTX and HTX+ feature a black and beige dual-tone scheme. ON the top-spec GTK and GTX variants, an all-black theme will be available with leather upholstery. And the top-end GTX+ gets the black and beige dual-tone interior with premium leatherette seat.
