Levante Trofeo is confirmed to launch by the end of 2019 in India. It will come with more powerful 3.8-litre V8 petrol engine

The Indian market, as confirmed by Maserati, is going to welcome the high-power Levante Trofeo by the end of this year. Previously, the Levante was already on sales in the Indian market, however, it was only available with the lower-power variant. The regular Levante receives power from a 3.0-litre diesel V6 engine which could develop 275 bhp and 600 Nm.

Coming to the Trofeo variant, we will see a huge surge in power output. The high-power Trofeo, receiving power from a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine, reaches the maximum power 590 bhp at 6,250rpm and the peak torque of 730 Nm at 2,250 rpm to 5,000 rpm. This petrol engine, just like the rest petrol motors of Maserati, is sourced from Ferrari. The same engine is seen on the Quattroporte as well. The Trofeo also employs the Q4 Intelligent All-wheel drive system. Thanks to this hyper-powerful powertrain, the car could reach 100 kph from standstill in 3.9 seconds. The top speed marks around 300 kph. With these specs, the car is easily among the most powerful vehicles in the Italian high-end carmaker’s line-up.

Levante Trofeo features some new elements like carbon fibre for the splitter and side skirt and so on

To highlight the sportiness of the Levante Trofeo, Maserati will use superlight carbon-fibre on the lower splitter, side skirt, side blades, rear extractor, and the front air ducts. In the Maserati Levante Trofeo, some minor styling twists are added, including the new lower front fascia with new air intakes and rear bumper. For the interior, the 2019 Levante Trofeo features full-grain Pieno Fiore leather (black, red and tan options are available). All will come with contrast stitching and Trofeo emblems on the headrests.

Maserati does not confirm the launch date of the Levante Trofeo in India yet. It is believed that this luxury car will join hand with other models to enter the market around the festive season. India will be among the first markets to get the right-hand-drive Levante Trofeo.

Maserati Levante Trofeo will rival against the likes of the BMW X5M, Mercedes-AMG GLE63, and Range Rover Sport SVR.
