Compact SUVs are becoming more and more popular in the Indian auto market; as a result, automakers do not hesitate to add one to their portfolio even if they have already had one. Being one of the leading SUV manufacturers in India, Mahindra is not an exception. The Mahindra - Ford joint venture and Ford Motor Company will launch compact SUVs underpinned by Ford’s VX-772 Platform, which will serve as the basis for vehicles which measure up to 4.4-metre in length.  Ford seems to provide the platform for these SUVs while Mahindra will provide the powertrain options for them.
