From the new teaser, it is clear now that the 2018 facelift will give the Ciaz new headlights. Appearing on the front side, the new LED Day Running Light features a sharp and sleek design. We could also notice the twist on the grille of the new Ciaz which is obviously wilder. The bumper is also redesigned. Alloys, fog light as well as taillights receive changes too. In general, the overall design still reflects the style transferring from the outgoing version. However, these changes still exert a subtle transformation of the Ciaz into a sportier and more outstanding sedan.

As far as we know, there are also more to expect from the interior of the new facelift as well. For example, a new dashboard and steering wheel promises to bring a new life to the interior.

To infuse the premium feels to the cabin, the dashboard will receive a faux wood insert. The infotainment screen now will be able to support Apple CarPlay as well as Android Apple – it is a smart and essential change as smart connectivity is more needed than ever.

Besides, there will be a new instrument cluster, MID screen and cruise control as the new feature on the 2018 version.

However, don’t expect anything new in terms of space. It will remain the same dimension, and everything we could dream of is the

For the engine, Maruti Ciaz will have a new petrol engine. This 1.5-liter engine is able to deliver 105 PS and 138 Nm, which is obviously more powerful and impressive than ever before. It is hoped to resolve the unsatisfying feedback for the petrol variants – which claims that the recent 1.4 petrol engine is not powerful enough and it falls far behinds its competitors like Hyundai Verna.

The diesel option will retain the same 1.3-liter engine – which could generate 89 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque – from the current version. All will be paired with either manual or automatic transmission.

Also, expect to pay a little bit for more this new version. It will be priced above 7.7 lakhs – the bottom price for the current Maruti Ciaz.

With this new facelift, Maruti Ciaz will come into the competition with Honda City, Hyundai Verna, and Volkswagen Vento as well.
