Maruti Ertiga Petrol BSVI Model Launched, Priced at Rs 7.54 lakh

Indian carmaker Maruti Suzuki has launched the BSVI compliant petrol engine variant of the Maruti Ertiga

Indian car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has equipped the Ertiga with a BSVI compliant petrol motor. The introduction of the cleaner engine has increased the prices of the MPV, as it now costs between Rs 7.54 lakh to Rs 10.05 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This makes the car pricier by Rs 9,000 to 10,000. The new-gen Ertiga was launched in our market in November 2018 and the car achieved an even higher success than the previous-gen model. The petrol variant of the seven-seater MPV is propelled by a four-cylinder, 1.5-litre SHVS K15B petrol motor.

The inclusion of a new engine has also increased the price of the MPV, which now costs between Rs 7.54 lakh to Rs 10.05 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). 

The same engine is also available on the Ciaz. For both the models, it churns out power and torque outputs of 104.7 Ps and 138 Nm, respectively. Transmission options include a 5-speed stick shift and a 4-speed torque converter automatic unit. To increase the popularity of the Ertiga, Maruti Suzuki will introduce a new variant of MPV later this month. The new Ertiga-based model will be called XL6 and will retail through the company's Nexa dealership network. The MPV is expected to Draw power from a BSVI-compliant, SHVS-equipped, 1.5 -litre petrol unit. The cabin of the car will be sufficiently spacious to accommodate 6-passengers. It will comprise of two captain seats in the middle-row.

To increase the popularity of the Ertiga, Maruti Suzuki will introduce a new variant of MPV in the forthcoming month. 

The car will employ an all-black interior along with a leather seat upholstery. On the outside, the XL6 will look quite different from the current-gen Ertiga. Upfront, the MPV will get a smart-looking horizontal slat grille and, a newly designed headlamp cluster. Other than the XL6, Maruti Suzuki will also launch the S-Presso, which will be slotted below the Wagon R to rival the likes of Renault Kwid.
