Maruti Suzuki had recently launched the 2020 Ignis facelift in the Indian market. The company is now providing a generous discount on the car to boost sales during the market slowdown.

The Indian auto industry is currently going through a sales slowdown since last year. This year, things seem to be even bleaker. The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has caused a nationwide lockdown. Many carmakers have had to temporarily shut production down in various manufacturing facilities, and people have been confined to their homes, rendered unable to buy new cars. Maruti Suzuki India Ltd is offering brilliant offers on its latest BS6 compliant cars in order to boost sales. Check out the brilliant discounts of the new 2020 Maruti Ignis facelift.

Maruti Suzuki is offering sweet discounts on the Ignis facelift

The Maruti Ignis facelift is available with a cash discount worth Rs. 20,000. You can further avail an exchange bonus worth Rs. 20,000. This bonus, you might be aware, gets added on top of the value of the old car you bring in for exchange at Maruti True Value. In total, you can avail a maximum benefit of Rs. 40,000 (excluding exchange car value) on the purchase of a brand new Maruti Ignis! Considering that the car is priced between Rs. 4.89 lakh and Rs. 7.19 lakh (ex-showroom prices, New Delhi), the deal seems pretty sweet indeed. Also, owing to the poor sales of the car, the dealership might also throw some additional accessories for free!

The 2020 Maruti Suzuki Ignis is being marketed as a compact urban SUV, although we’d rather call it a crossover hatchback. It is powered by a BS6 compliant, 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated, inline-4, petrol engine. This motor is capable of producing 83 PS and 113 Nm of maximum power and peak torque, respectively. There are two transmission options available, a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT automatic.

The Ignis has always had a unique yet polarising exterior design. With the facelift, however, things seem to have changed slightly for the better. The dash of chrome embellishments to the front grille help add a premium touch. Other than that, the boxy silhouette, high bonnet, faux skid plates (at both the front and rear), and roof-rails, all add to the SUV-inspired look. The tech on offer is also impressive, with a multi-function steering wheel, automatic climate control, push-button start/stop, and LED DRLs. You also get the latest 7-inch ‘Smartplay’ touchscreen infotainment system with integrated Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
