With "Zero" sales in April, Maruti Suzuki is trying to reach out to authorities with these new set of SoPs and norms to re-open the dealerships.

Maruti Suzuki India is gearing up to restart its sales operations now. Since the fight with the contagion is not over yet, the carmaker will be floating around a set of standard operating procedures across its dealership to keep the staff and customer safe from the effect of this deadly disease. Therefore, the carmaker has put in effect a set of SOPs to ensure the highest level of sanitization across all of its showrooms. After the successful implementation of these standard operating procedure and approvals from State Governments, the brand will resume its sales operations to deliver the cars to customers.

Maruti Suzuki Will Open Its Dealerships With These New Norms

Once the local authorities approve the SOP, then Maruti Suzuki will open the dealerships across the nation.

“Customers satisfaction and safety is our top priority. All our dealerships have put in place steps to ensure complete safety, hygiene and sanitization of all touchpoints. I would like to assure our customers that your car buying experience with Maruti Suzuki is completely safe. At the same time, not just our dealerships, but also our manufacturing facilities and service workshops are completely sanitized. They are following all safety protocols, as prescribed by the Government. The Maruti Suzuki family looks forward to deliver your favorite car in a completely safe and hygienic environment.”

Mr. Kenichi Ayukawa, Managing Director and CEO, Maruti Suzuki India

These operating procedures have been designed by a designated team of experts in a bid to encapsulate all possible situations of customer interaction.  Right from the time when a customer enters the showroom to the time he/she drives out with a car, all possible events have been scientifically studied. Thus Maruti Suzuki will ensure the adaptation of these steps as well,

  1. Maintain Hygiene of test drive cars by sanitization.
  2. Doorstep delivery of cars.
  3. Health and Safety of dealership employees to be monitored on a regular basis.
  4. Training to maintain a distance between each other at dealerships as per the social distancing norm.
  5. Urging customers to choose their cars and its respective accessories via digital route.
